2009 Grant Applications Available for Digitization and Retrospective Conversion
The application for Digital METRO New York 2009 grants is now available. METRO member libraries are encouraged to apply for funds -- typically ranging from $5,000-$10,000 -- to launch new digitization projects or enhance existing digitization work. METRO will host an informal information session to answer any questions you may have about the grant process, and we will highlight the work of a Digital Metro New York 2008 grantee library. The information session will be held on September 22 from 10-11:30am at the METRO Training Center. Register for this FREE session here. In the meantime, read more about the grant and download the application here .
Retrospective Conversion Grants are also available to facilitate upgrading printed bibliographic records that are unique into machine‑readable MARC records. Awards are competitive and based on criteria established by METRO's Information Systems Advisory Council. Grant recommendations are presented by the Advisory Council to the METRO Board of Trustees for funding. Download the grant application here.
